Jewish Literature Live! Presents Daniel Torday
George Washington University’s Department of English and Jewish Literature Live proudly present a reading by Daniel Torday, author of The Last Flight of Poxl West: A Novel, on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018 at 7 – 8:30pm.
The Last Flight of Poxl West tells the story of a boy, Elijah Goldstein, who is at first in awe of his uncle’s adventures from the Second World War. He later uncovers that deeper truths lie beneath the glossy surface of his uncle’s memories, and he emerges from this journey seeing the war in a different light. The novel has won many awards, including the 2015 JJ Greenberg Memorial National Jewish Book Award.
The event will be held at George Washington University’s Marvin Center Amphitheater (800 21st St NW). It is FREE and open to the public. First come-first serve seating.
